Express Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff on Leone’s decision, "we are very happy and very proud of Luca and his decision to play for Toronto Varsity Blues and attend a great academic school."

Leone who captained the Express this past season, had a very successful Junior hockey career including some time in WHL, BCHL and some time in Milano Rossoblu Italy.
