Coquitlam, BC – The Coquitlam Express have announced the signing of 2003-born forward from the Anaheim Jr. Ducks U18 AAA Team Blake Green.
Green has played for the Junior Ducks program for the last three seasons and tallied a total of 64 points. In the reduced season last year Green tallied 10 points, three goals and seven assists and 14 penalty minutes.
“I first noticed Blake back in January of 2021 when I was watching his team online and he stood out as someone who was on the cusp of being a really good player. I then saw him again when his team played in the USA Hockey National Championship where again he stood out as someone who has a ton of potential and someone who I felt had a great trajectory.” said Tali Campbell, Express general manager “In Junior hockey we are always needing to take a gamble on kids and Blake is someone I feel with the development in our program, he is going to be a dominant player in our league in the coming years.”
Green, who had a few options for Junior hockey decided on the Express as he felt it was the right fit for him “I chose to play for the Coquitlam Express because I feel that it is a great fit for me to continue to develop and grow as a player and prepare me for the next level.” said Blake Green.
The Coquitlam Express will kick off their Main Camp on September 17th followed by six exhibition games.
