The Coquitlam Express are thrilled to kick off their 2024-2025 BCHL season with an exhilarating home opener against their fierce rivals, the Chilliwack Chiefs, on Friday, September 20, 2024. Fans are invited to join the action at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex, where the puck drops at 7:00 PM.
After a rigorous off-season filled with training and new roster additions, the Express are ready to hit the ice and set the tone for a promising season. With a fresh lineup and renewed energy, the team is poised to make a strong statement against the Chiefs in this much-anticipated match-up.
Express Head Coach Jeff Wagner, shared his excitement for the season opener: “Our team is working incredibly hard over the summer. We’re eager to showcase our talent and dedication in front of our home crowd. Facing the Chiefs is always a thrill, and we can’t wait to bring the community together for this game.”
To add to the evening’s excitement, the Coquitlam Express have planned several festivities and fan engagements:
- Pre-game Celebrations: Starting at 5:30 PM, fans can enjoy live music, and interactive games outside the arena.
- Giveaways: The first 500 fans through the doors will receive a special gift from The Great Canadian Oil CHange
- Ceremonial Puck Drop: Local dignitaries and special guests will be on hand to help kick off the season with a ceremonial puck drop.

Ticket Information: Tickets for the home opener and other home games won’t be avaiable until August but season tickets are on sale now.
