Coquitlam land Swiss Standout Wittwer

The Coquitlam Express are thrilled to announce the signing of 2005-born forward Erik Wittwer from HC Davos U20.

A native of Switzerland, Wittwer has developed through the U20-Elit and U17-Elit programs over the past four seasons, amassing an impressive 130 points (69 goals, 61 assists) in 194 games.

“Landing a player like Erik is a major win for our organization,” said Tali Campbell, President of Hockey Operations and General Manager. “From the moment we watched his game film, there was a unanimous excitement throughout our staff. He’s a natural goal scorer, plays with a strong hockey IQ, and uses his 6-foot-2 frame effectively in all areas of the ice. On top of that, he’s a player who elevates those around him. We’re confident he’ll be a key contributor for us this season, and our fans are going to love watching him at the Train Station.”

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Coquitlam Express,” remarked Wittwer. “The team environment looks amazing, and it’s always been a dream of mine to play hockey in Canada. I’m thankful for this opportunity and ready to give it everything I’ve got.”
