The Coquitlam Express have announced they have acquired 2003-born forward Ray Hamlin from the Smith Falls Bears in the CCHL in exchange for future considerations.
Hamlin who finished his last season in the GOJHL tallied 26 points in 49 games, prior to that he was the captain of the Windsor Jr. Spitfires U16 AAA Team tallyiny 37 points in 27 games. He was drafted in the 9th round by the Hamilton Bulldogs of the OJHL.
“Acquiring Ray was something we have been working on for quite some time, he is a player who brings a bite to his game that we feel is going to really pay off in the BCHL,” said Tali Campbell, Express general manager “He is a great kid, works hard, isn’t afraid to battle it out and someone we feel has NCAA written all over him.”
“As we continue to put together our roster for the upcoming season we are excited to add Ray, he is a valuable piece we have been working on for a while.” said Brandon Shaw, Express head coach.
