The Coquitlam Express have signed 6-foot-4 forward Rasmus Dahlqvist from Sweden for the upcoming season.
Dahlqvist, 2005-born, tallied 60 points in 33 games with Huddinge IK J20. He also played 9 games with the Huddinge IK professional team and earned two points.
General Manager, Tali Campbell: “Rasmus is a power forward who will make an immediate impact in our lineup. He competes hard, uses his body and has an incredible shot.”
Rasmus Dahlqvist: “I have been dreaming about playing in North America for a couple of years. Not only for the adventure but also because of the hockey culture over there. When I then decided to go over the seas, Coquitlam felt like an obvious choice because of the way they play and the way people outside the rink seem. I am looking forward to it!”
The big Swede adds to the size and grit of the Express for the upcoming campaign, something that the team identified was a matter of importance to address for the 2025-2026 season.
