Express add three JPHL teams for 2024-25 Season

The Coquitlam Express Hockey Club is thrilled to announce its expansion into the Junior Prospect Hockey League (JPHL) with the addition of three new teams. Complementing the existing U18 team, the Coquitlam Express will now include U14, U15, and U17 teams, further solidifying their commitment to developing young talent in the region, all clubs will play under the Coquitlam HC banner.

The decision to expand comes as a result of the organization’s dedication to providing a comprehensive pathway for young athletes to progress and thrive through hockey and education development. By adding U14, U15, and U17 teams, the Coquitlam Express will be able to nurture talent at an earlier age, fostering growth and skill development throughout all levels of the organization.

“We are extremely excited to announce the expansion of the Coquitlam HC with the addition of U14, U15, and U17 teams,” said Tali Campbell, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Coquitlam Express. “This expansion will allow us to provide more opportunities for young players in our community to compete, develop, and pursue their dreams in the sport they love, while have a major focus on the education component”

The U14, U15, and U17 teams will be led by a highly experienced coaching staff, dedicated to guiding and mentoring the young athletes, these coaches will be named at a later date.

The expansion of the Coquitlam Express reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to excellence and its vision to cultivate a strong hockey community in Coquitlam and surrounding areas. By offering more teams within the JPHL, the Coquitlam Express aims to further solidify its presence as a leading force in youth hockey development in the region.
