Express alumnus Tyler Kopff inks NHL entry-level deal with Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres announced today they have inked a former Express star to an NHL contract. Tyler Kopff wore the black and yellow for two seasons from 2021-2023, playing over 100 games for the Express and tallying 93 points.

“We want to first and foremost congratulate Tyler on this achievement. His continued hard-work is paying off,” said Express GM and COO Tali Campbell. “From the moment Tyler stepped onto the ice, it was clear he possessed an exceptional work ethic and an unwavering commitment to the game. His drive to improve and succeed made it evident that he was destined to make the jump to the NHL at some point. We always knew he had the potential to excel at the highest level. Everyone here in Coquitlam will continue cheering him on!”

A Third Team All-ECAC and First Team All-Ivy selection this year with Brown University, Kopff will finish this season with the Rochester Americans in the AHL before his two-year contract kicks in starting 2025-2026.
