EXPRESS FIND THEIR “BLACK ACE” IN MINNESOTA-BORN DEFENDER

The Express are excited to announce the signing of 2006-born defender and Merrimack College Commit, Jameson “Jimmy” Dodig from Cretin-Derham Hall in Minnesota. The Captain of the Raiders has tallied 66 points over 87 games across three seasons all while packing a physical punch at 6’6″.

“Signing someone like Jimmy for next season was a priority of ours however with the current injuries to the backend, bringing him in right now was crucial,” said Campbell “His presence will be noticed right away and he is a big, physically imposing defender that loves to play the body, block shots and throw his weight around the ice.”

With David Brandes out of the lineup long-term, this move solidifies the Express D-core ahead of what should be a deep playoff push.

Before the Fred Page Cup Playoffs, every team is permitted to sign a “black ace”.  These players are allowed to join BCHL rosters once their own season is over and help with the playoff push, especially if and when injuries happen.
