Coquitlam, BC – The Coquitlam Express Junior A Hockey Club is set to take on the Powell River Kings tonight for their fourth game in the 2021 POD Season! The Express will be sporting a different look tonight, as the guys will be dawning pink stick tape and pink laces in support of their Breast Cancer Awareness Game.
“This is a special night for a lot of us, not just on our team but even on Powell River’s. A lot of guys have mothers, grandmas, aunts, etc who have battled breast cancer and we wanted to show our support with pink stick tape and laces tonight.” said Tali Campbell Express’ general manager “Unfortunately due to the timing of the season we couldn’t get pink jerseys made in time but we still wanted to be able to do something.”
The Express will also be auctioning off some of last year’s Pink jerseys to raise money for the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundations Breast Health Clinic in longtime supporter and sponsors name Sharon Perry!
