Express hosting second-annual Hockey Talks Mental Health Awareness Game

The Coquitlam Express will be hosting their second-annual Hockey Talks Mental Health Awareness game on March 19th when the Victoria Grizzlies are in town.

This is the Express’ second time hosting a Mental Health Awareness Game in conjunction with the NHL’s Hockey Talks campaign. “I want to thank Alex Oxenham with the Vancouver Canucks who has assisted us in this very important game, providing information and resources to make this game possible,” said Tali Campbell, Express COO & GM. “We want players, staff, volunteers and fans to know that mental health is a real thing, and it is fine to not be okay, but with not being okay, we also want everyone to know the various resources available to them.”
During the game on March 19th, the Express will have various organizations present to distribute information to fans on the resources available to them.
The Express players will also be wearing Hockey Talks helmet stickers for the game and new Hockey Talks hoodies that are courtesy of First Canadian Management Corporation.
