Identification Camp- August 28-30th
With Hockey Canada’s announcement that the National ban on sanctioned activities has been lifted, the Coquitlam Express are pleased to announce our summer Identification Camp from August 28th-30th at Planet Ice Coquitlam. The first step in the journey to becoming a part of the Coquitlam Express is our summer Identification Camp.
Our organization understands these are unusual times and circumstances and that there will be many players looking to get into a camp to show their talents. Thus, to ensure a camp spot we encourage players to register now to reserve a spot in the Coquitlam Express Identification camp. Registering with payment now will guarantee you a spot in our IDENTIFICATION camp August 28-30th.
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to COVID-19, camps will be run differently this year with a very limited number of players, and the team will be following provincial guidelines to help keep everyone safe.
There will be a goalie evaluation on the Thursday August 27th consisting of 2 ice times, where the goaltenders will be evaluated and cut down for the weekend ice sessions.
There will be extremely limited spots available on a first come, first serve basis.
Ages: 2005 and older*
The Express Identification Camp is an integral part of the recruiting process for all junior teams. It is in these camps where coaches identify full time roster players and affiliate players for the upcoming season. For the younger players it provides them with the Junior “A” perspective of the level of speed, compete, and skill while at the same time being able to showcase their talents to the coaching staffs of the Junior A, B, CSSHL and MML teams.
Identification Camp
Cost: $350 plus tax for ID camp. Camp will consist of 3 ice times.
**GOALTENDER POSITION**
Goaltender Evaluation- COST: $150 plus tax
Goaltenders pay $150 plus tax for evaluation skate on Thursday August 27th with a max of 27 spots.
12 Goaltenders from the evaluation skate will be selected to move on to the Identification Camp.
Goaltenders selected to move on to Identification Camp- will then pay the regular $350 plus tax camp fee.
