Express take initiative for Terry Fox Run

Coquitlam, BC – This year is marking the 40th Anniversary for the Terry Fox Run but due to COVID-19 all public events have been cancelled, however the Coquitlam Express Junior A Hockey Club have decided to take initiative for their Hockey Club to still do their own event that will raise money and awareness.

The Express Players and Staff will do their own run this Sunday, September 20th where the entire team will run Mundy Park while raising money online with a goal of $500.

“Our entire organization knows how important this event is to not just the City of Coquitlam but all of BC and Canada.” said team governor Fayaz Manji “We know we need to take actions to prevent the spread of COVID but at the same time we don’t want to let this event slide, we want to make sure we do our part in bringing attention to the Terry Fox Run.”

The Express will be raising money through the Terry Fox Run website (http://www.terryfox.ca/CoquitlamExpress) and are encouraging Express supporters to donate to help them raise $500.

Like all public events, this one is not open to the public however the Coquitlam Express will be sharing everything on their Social Media accounts.
