Impressive start to the season

There's a new look on the ice at Bill Copeland Arena, yes the Express are wearing new jersey's this year but they're also bigger, tougher and better than last year.

After beating the Centennials 7-2 in Merritt last Wednesday the boys defeated them with an identical score on Saturday night in Burnaby.

During a matinee game versus Nanaimo on Sunday the boys struggled to control the puck early but then captain Dylan Herold opened the scoring 13:55 into the second.  Just under a minute later Manley put a power play goal passed Nanaimo keeper Loic Boivin to put the Express up by two.  Luke Challier also scored for the Express in the 3-2 win on Sunday afternoon.

The team is sitting first in the Coastal Conference with a 5-0-1 record.  They're on the road for the next two weeks visiting the interior next week and then an island trip the week after.

See you at the next home game, Wednesday October 14 vs. Trail.
