Not good enough. Rivermen 5 – Express 2

A slow start would be the devise of the Express in Langley on Friday night, and they could not regain their footing in the 5-2 loss.

At the 1:13 minute mark of the first period Keeton Oakley would get the first tally of the game for the Rivermen, which was followed by another Rivermen goal by Reilley Kotai at 8:42.

The Express would get within one at 13:48 by Blake Setter but before the end of the period the Rivermen would get the 3-1 lead by Owen Kim.

In the second period Drew Garzone would score on his return to the lineup but within two minutes on the powerplay the Rivermen would retake the lead.

Things would settle down from there but at the 10:13 mark the Rivermen would seal the deal with another goal.

The Express will need to forget about this game as they still have two more games this weekend, tomorrow at home against the Victoria Grizzlies.
