PREVIEW: Express vs Chiefs (Jan 13)

The Express host the Chilliwack Chiefs this evening at the Train Station for the second time already in 2023 and it’s their final game before the 2023 All-Star Weekend.

Last Friday the Express pulled away with the 4-1 victory but since then both teams have added to their lineup from the trade deadline.

Statistics:

The Eagles are 5th in the Coastal Conference with a 15-15-0-1 record.

The Express are 3rd in the Coastal Conference with a 16-11-4-1 record.

Head-to-Head

With all things considered this season has been a close battle however when the Express win they win in big numbers, where the only two Chief wins against this Express team have come in extra time. The season series is 3-2 Express.

Keys To Victory:

Discipline. This might be one of the only words on the whiteboard in the dressing room as this Express team has not done a good job of staying out of the box and the PK has not done a great job either.

Lineup Changes:

We have not heard from Head Coach Patrick Sexton yet if either Blake Setter or Ethan Rosenoff will draw into this evenings game however we do know at least one has to as Jake Manfre remains on the LTIR.
