The team’s Identification Camps play a critical role in identifying new players to crack the Express roster. In the past several players including current Express players like Matthew Campbell, Austin Fraser, Ryan Tattle etc have been identified in one of these camps.

The three camps this year for the Express will be, first on Vancouver Island May 20th for Goalie tryouts followed by May 21-23 for the full camp, then to Burnaby May 27th for goalie tryouts then May 28th – 30th for the full camp and lastly Abbotsford July 15th for Goalie tryouts followed by the full camp July 16th – 18th.

“Our Spring Identification Camps have a proven track record for identifying future Express players,” says Vice President & General Manager Tali Campbell. “We put a great deal of time and effort into running professional, competitive camps that expose players to the level of play in the BCHL.”

Spring Identification Camps run three days (Friday to Sunday) with a Goalie Tryout on Thursdays and include four camp games, an education seminar and a one-on-one exit interview with Express coaches. They are open to players born between 2001 and 2005. The cost to participate in a Spring Identification Camp is $299 (plus tax).
