The Coquitlam Express Junior A Hockey Club is pleased to announce that graduating forward Rich Manley has committed to attend the State University of the New York at Geneseo and compete for the NCAA Division III Knights beginning in the fall of 2010.

Manley enjoyed a pair of successful seasons with the Express, scoring 36 goals and adding 64 assists for 100 points in 112 career BCHL games. The Buffalo, New York product joined the club as a rookie for the 2007/08 season and totalled 51 points as one of the Coastal Conference's top rookies.

He returned home to the United States to play his 19-year old season but rejoined the Express in September and scored 20 goals and 49 points in 54 games.

The 20-year old will be reunited at Geneseo with former Express teammate Colin de Jersey, who recently completed his freshman season. A number of other BCHL grads suit up for the Knights, including Westside Warriors alum David Arduin and former Trail Smoke Eaters captain Ryan Bulach.

Manley is the third Express player to commit to play university or college hockey next season. Defenceman Jimmy Geerin is set to join Robert Morris University (NCAA Div. I) while forward Colby Kulhanek will remain in B.C. to suit up for Simon Fraser University.
