Adam Rockwood was the overtime hero as he slid the puck past the pads of Viper goalie Austin Smith at the 2:07 mark of the extra period.

Rockwood scooped up a turnover at the Express blueline and streaked down the ice with linemates Ryan Rosenthal and Corey Mackin along side.  Rockwood cut to the middle and made no mistake on the  backhanded winner, his second goal of the contest.

The Express got behind early again as Vernon jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead before Cannon Pieper cut the Viper lead in half.  Captain Ryan Rosenthal and Mark Biega drew assists on the team's 7th power play goal of the playoffs.

The Vipers scored their last goal of the game midway through the second period as the Express carried the play throughout the final 30 minutes of regulation.

Corey Mackin scored just 46 seconds into the third period on a set up from Rockwood. Mackin returned the favor as he assisted on Rockwood's first goal of the game to tie score at 3-3 and force overtime.

Gordie Diefel had another outstanding game as he made 42 saves and was named the game's Third Star.

The Express head home up 2-0 in the Series with the next two games at the Train Station at the PSLC on Monday April 14 and Tuesday April 15. Both games start at 7pm.
