The Coquitlam Express are excited to announce 2000-born forward Sam Marit has signed a contract to go play in Sweden with the Stenungsund HF.
Marit is coming off the POD season with the Express where he tallied 14 points in 20 games. Prior to that he spent three season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Markham Royals and Brampton Admirals.
“Sam was a huge part of our team this past year on and off the ice.” commented Tali Campbell, Express general manager “This was a tough year for a lot of our players and Sam helped lead us during those tough times, always being there for his teammates. On the ice, he battled every shift, played with a bite to his game and was effective everytime he was on the ice. I can’t wait to see him in a Stenungsund HF uniform.”
“I am really looking forward to this upcoming year in Sweden. I can’t thank everyone enough who helped me get here. I can’t wait to represent the Coquitlam Express well next year.” said Sam Marit.
