Sanda and Wildauer Join List of NCAA Commits

COQUITLAM, BC: November 9, 2018

The Coquitlam Express are proud to announce two more players have received NCAA commitments this week with 1999 forward Josh Wildauer committing to Lake Superior State which was followed by 1998 forward Christian Sanda committing to Union College.

Wildauer, a product of Dearborn Heights, Michigan has 9 goals and 22 points in 20 games so far this season

“Josh has been a leader on and off the ice for the players, he comes to the rink every day to get better with a positive attitude and leads by example.  We’re excited for him to take this next step.” said Express Head Coach and General Manager Jason Fortier.

Sanda, a St. Paul, Minnesota native has 10 goals and 19 points in 21 games for the Express this season.

“Christian has been working hard on and off the ice and we’re all happy to see him get rewarded for that.  He’s a driven individual that will no doubt go on to have success at Union on the ice and in the classroom.” added Fortier on the Sanda commitment.

These are the third and fourth commitments in just over a week for the Express with the announcements of Matthews and Kimens earlier last week.  Wildauer and Sanda becomes the 11th and 12th players of the Express active roster committed to an NCAA school.

The Express head east for two games in two nights starting tonight vs the Trail Smoke Eaters before heading down to Wenatchee for a Saturday night matchup vs the Wild.  The Express next home game is Friday November 16 vs the Victoria Grizzlies, for tickets call 604-936-4625.
