Sniped. Express 2 – Chiefs 7

The Coquitlam Express wrapped up their 2 game trip to Chilliwack with Game 4 of the Shaw BCHL Playoffs happening at the Chilliwack Coliseum on Wednesday night.

Period one was held scoreless until the final 2 minutes when Abram Wiebe and Tim Delay found the back of the net for the Chiefs to give them a 2-0 lead after 1 period of play.

The second period only got worse for the Express as they found themselves down 5-0 just minutes after the midway point of the second period as they allowed 3 goals in just over 4 minutes. They didn’t find their answer until Evan Brown found the back of the net with his second of the playoffs, assisted by Kopff and Tanner. The Chiefs lead 5-1 after 40 minutes.

The Express looked more lively in the third, bringing the score to 5-2 with Liam Tanner’s marker, however, they couldn’t keep up as the Chiefs scored 2 more in the frame to bring the final score to 7-2 in regulation. The Chiefs extended their lead in the opening round of the Shaw BCHL Playoffs to 3-1 over the Coquitlam Express.

The Coquitlam Express look to stave off elimination at home on Friday night at the Train Station. Be sure to buy your tickets online to skip the line at the box office! Visit our website at https://express.ticketsnap.ca/ticket-events to buy yours now!
