The Coquitlam Express are excited to announce our 2026 Development Camp dates and locations.
These camps are a new twist on summer camps that model the NHL’s style of development camps. We will play games, but the focus will be on skill development ice times, guest speakers presenting, off ice training and showing the 40 accepted participants what a day in the life of the BCHL looks like.
Players will participate in three guest speaker presentations, a fitness testing event, as well as two team workouts. Further to that, all players will receive one team practice, one position specific skills practice, one small area game practice and two games. Prior to the games, players will receive a pre-scout video presentations from the Express coaches.
“Our new Development Camps are designed to give players a real look at what it takes to play at the BCHL level,” said Tali Campbell, President and General Manager of the Coquitlam Express. “This isn’t a traditional Spring ID Camp — it’s an NHL-style development experience focused on skill work, habits, education, and preparation. From on-ice sessions to off-ice training and classroom work, we want players to understand what a day in the life of a BCHL player truly looks like and leave better prepared for the next step in their hockey journey. This will give us a better idea of the kids we are looking to commit to as well.”
