The Coquitlam Express are proud to announce that second year defenseman, Marc Biega, has earned a scholarship to play for the Merrimack College Warriors starting next season.
Biega is currently tied with Chilliwack defenseman, Carter Cochrane, for the lead league in goals (16) from a defenseman. The 16 goals also has him tied with Brad Hunt (Edmonton Oilers) for the all-time regular season total by a defenseman.
Coach Barry Wolff says "We are very happy for Marc and Merrimack! Since the start of the season, Marc has continued to learn and improve all aspects of his game. He deserves and has earned this great opportunity that Merrimack is providing him, he will be a great addition to the Warriors."
Marc is the 10th player on this year’s roster to commit and will join Express teammate, Jace Hennig in suiting up for the Warriors next Fall.
