Express acquire Devlin and Kruss

Coquitlam, BC – The Coquitlam Express have acquired 2002-born defenseman Ian Devlin and 2001-born goaltender Dylan Kruss from St. Micheal’s Buzzers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.

Devlin completed a full year last season with the Buzzers tallying 22 points in 52 games, nine goals and 13 assists while Kruss played eight games for the BCHL Salmon Arm Silverbacks and eight games for the Buzzers last season. Prior to that he spent the year with Lake Forest Academy where in 21 games he posted a .934 save percentage.

“We are really excited to welcome both Ian and Dylan to our team.” said Tali Campbell, Express general manager “Dan (head coach) and I have been working on the Devlin deal since early November, while Kruss was not someone we were originally targeting however it worked out well as we plan to run with three goalies for the remainder of the season.”

“Devlin is someone we think will be an impact player right away. He’s a solid kid who doesn’t back down and isn’t afraid to get in front of a puck. We are going to rely heavily on him this season as we have a younger d-core.” commented Tali Campbell “Dylan, I was impressed with his numbers two years ago and have spoken to a lot of people who said he put the work in this past offseason. I look forward to be able to give him the opportunity to showcase it.”
