The Coquitlam Express take game one of the Fred Page Cup Final Series with a come from behind 6-4 win over the Vernon Vipers Friday night at the Kal Tire Place on Friday night.

The Express got off to a sour start as Vernon opened the scoring less than a minute into the series and got out to a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.
Fortis BC Energy player of the game and First Star Bo Pieper got the Express on the board early in the second period with the first of his four goals on the night. Pieper's second on the power play and a late shorthanded goal from Corey Mackin saw the teams head to the final frame tied 3-3.
Vernon took a brief lead with the first goal of the third period but the Express would not let anything block their track to victory as they stormed back with the game tieing and game winning goals coming off the stick of Bo Pieper, while Corey Mackin's second of the night gave the Express some insurance.
Gordie Diefel had another strong playoff performance making several key stops among his 31 saves to record the win.
Zack Hodder notched three assists as the Express came out of the gate a little sluggish in thier first game in eight days.
Express Coach Barry Wolff says it was a " Huge win, to win game one on the road".
Game two goes Saturday Night at Kal Tire Place is Vernon at 7pm, then the Series shifts to the Train Station at the PSLC for games three and four.
Game Three is set for Monday April 14 and Game Four on Tuesday April 15, both games start at 7pm.
