Express Players Share Favourite School Memories Ahead of School Day Game

This Wednesday the Train Station will be packed with over 2,000 school kids for the Express’ annual school day game. At 12:00pm local schools will come to the rink to enjoy a game between the Express and the Chilliwack Chiefs, a day that these kids will never forget.

For the players on the Express, it will be a special game for them as they reminisce on some of their favourite school memories from their childhood. Ahead of the game we asked a few of the players what those memories are, here is what they had to say:

Kasper Walther-Sneve: “My favourite school memory is when I went to Spain with my class five years ago.”

Cale Colewell: “My favourite school memory is going on the school field trip to cypress mountain for the grade 5 ski trip.”

Zach Bansley: “My favourite school memory is going on a class trip for two nights in grade 7 and getting to stay in a hotel room with all my buddy’s.”

Noah Dziver: “My favourite school memory growing up was having the most intense soccer and football games at recess where every kid cared more about winning the recess game then the actual classes we had right after.

Eric Young: “My favourite school memory was road hockey at lunch”

Nate Crema: “My Favourite school memory is going on walking field trips to public skate and stopping at chevron on the way back to get snacks for the rest of the school day.”

Matthew Frost: “My favorite school memory was getting to play hockey and curling in gym class at the local rink.”

The Express return to action on Friday January 26th at 7:00pm for a battle against the Cowichan Valley Capitals at Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex. Saturday’s game will be our Dyslexia Awareness Night along with our celebration of Chinese New Year. You can get your tickets at https://express.ticketsnap.ca/ticket-events.

See you at the Train Station on Friday Night!
