Chilliwack opened up their preseason with a home-and-home against the defending Fred Page Cup (BCHL) & Western Canada Cup Champion, Surrey Eagles. The Chiefs skated the Eagles to a 3-3 draw on Saturday night, one day removed from a 7-4 loss in front of the Surrey faithful.
Coach Wolff and the Express boys will be looking to avenge back-to-back losses at the hands of the Langley Rivermen over the weekend. Tuesday’s game could also mark the first time Express defensemen Shay Laurent suits up against his former team.
The preseason schedule concludes on Friday night when the Powell River Kings roll into Coquitlam for an 8:00pm showdown at the Train Station at the PSLC. Be sure to come out and see the team in their final tune up before the Bauer BCHL Showcase.
