The Coquitlam Express have been eliminated from play at the 2014 Western Canada Cup.
The Express season ended with a 5-3 loss to the Spruce Grove Saints in elimination play in Dauphin Manitoba.
The Express jumped out front on goals by Zach Hodder and Cody Boyd as the Express led 2-0 at the end of the first period.
Spruce Grove replied with 5 straight goals before Canon Pieper scored a late power play goal with assists going to Zach Hodder and Marc Biega at 17:47 of the third period.
Gordie Defiel went the entire way, making 33 saves taking the loss. Zach Hodder was named the Express player of the game.
Express now head home to clean out their lockers before heading home for the summer.
