Express Sign Swedish Defenceman Kim Elfving

The Coquitlam Express are excited to announce the signing of 2005 born defenceman Kim Elfving.

Elfving, 20, is a native of Sodertalje, Sweden. And comes to Coquitlam after spending last season with the Sodertalje SK J20 team. Where he put up 8 goals and 15 assists for 23 points in 43 games played. The Swede will add size to the Express back end, measuring in at 6’4″ and 198 lbs. He was set to join the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL this season.

“We are really excited about signing Kim Elfving,” said Express General Manager Tali Campbell “he’s big, he’s mean to play against, can move the puck well with an offensive twist to his game. This signing to us really helps us solidify our backend in a big way.”

Elfving is currently injured and is not expected back until sometime in November.
