Gameday! Express At Eagles

Two weeks after a dominating 7-3 win over the Eagles, the Coquitlam Express will travel to the South Surrey Arena, for a rematch with their division rivals.

Goals were a plenty in the last meeting with three different Express players registering multi goal efforts. Canon Pieper, Corey Mackin, and Ryan Rosenthal each had two markers, while Jace Hennig added a tally. Adam Rockwood, who now has 49 assists, was able to pick up four helpers that night.

The Express are 5-3-0-1 in the month of February and with a playoff spot already secured, they are looking to move up the rankings in the Mainland Division. With a win on wednesday night, Coquitlam can move within four points of Prince George for 2nd and 13 points ahead of 4th place Surrey.

The Eagles on the other hand, have not fared as well this month, holding a 3-5-1 record in February. However, with the number of committed university players they can ice on any given night, they are always a dangerous opponent. Jonah Renouf, Anthony Conti, Nathan Renouf, Braeden Russel, Chase McMurphey and Philippe Johansson are the five players on Surrey who have already made plans to play Division 1 hockey next season. Rookie, Danton Heinen leads the team in scoring with 48 points.

This will be the lone BCHL game on Wednesday night with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
