GAMEDAY: W. KELOWNA VS EXPRESS – CANUCK ALUMNI NIGHT!

The West Kelowna Warriors are in town tonight to take on the Coquitlam Express for the first time this BCHL season. The organizations have history dating back to the Express' inaugural season of 2001, when the Warriors franchise was based in Langley and known as the Hornets. Your Express have an all-time record of 36-22-3-4 against the West Kelowna franchise.

West Kelowna – The Warriors come into tonight's matchup in 3rd Place in the Interior Division, 10-6-1-5 overall, including 2-2-1-0 in the last 5 games. West Kelowna's offense is powered by Port Moody native, Marcus Basara, who sits 2nd in BCHL scoring with 16 goals, 15 assists in 22 games.

Coquitlam – The Express are looking to get back on track and in the thick of things in the Mainland Division. They currently sit 4th with a record of 11-11-1-0 and 0-5-0-0 over the last 5 games. John Seimer (Northern Michigan) leads the way for the Express with 12 goals and 16 assists in 23 games. Alexander Kerfoot (Harvard, New Jersey Devils) is clipping at his regular pace with 7 goals and 11 assists in 14 games. The hottest player of late goes to Philip Zeilonka (Harvard). In 11 games since joining the Express he has posted 8 goals and 8 assists in 11 games.

EXPRESS LANE: The Express have added some size over the last couple of days picking up 3 new players… Victoria native, Travis Stephens joins the Express from the Cowichan Valley Capitals. In 18 games with the Caps, the 6`, 180lb forward posted 1 goal and 7 assists… The Express picked up 6`5, 210lb defenseman, Bradley Ryan, from the Prince George Spruce Kings. The Vermont commit posed 5 goals and 10 assists in 22 games with the Spruce Kings… Lastly, Michael Macaig joins the Express from Carelton Place. The Plymouth, Mich. native skated in 24 games with Carelton Place, putting up 3 goals and 8 assists.

AROUND THE RINK: 15 Canuck Alumni will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures. The Alumni have been extremely active in the community, fill the hockey void left by the NHL lockout… 2 lucky fans will have the opportunity to shoot for $10,000 courtesy of BC`s Big Store, Coquitlam Chrysler… Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation is auctioning off an autographed Ryan Kesler jersey during the 3rd Period. A lucky fan will also be able to walk away with a $250 gift basket courtesy of Ricky`s Restaurant and an Olympic package courtesy of The Now newspaper.
