Sharon Perry & Associates & Express announce Pink in the Rink

Coquitlam, BC – The Coquitlam Express Junior A Hockey Club is excited to partner with Sharon Perry & Associates to present Pink in the Rink in October to raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer.

The Express will dawn new Pink Jerseys for games in October followed by a special Pink in the Rink Night on October 27th to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and honour those who have battled, who are battling, who lost their life or those who have survived Breast Cancer.

The Pink Jerseys presented by Sharon Perry & Associates will be put up for auction from October 20th to October 30th with all proceeds going towards the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation Breast Cancer Clinic.

“Breast Cancer is a disease that affects us all. You ask anyone and they know someone close to them who has experienced this awful disease,” said Tali Campbell, Express general manager “Sharon is an inspiration to all of us, so when we could partner with her on our Pink in the Rink Night with special jerseys we knew this was something we wanted to make special, and something we wanted to go all out for.”

“I really struggle to think of myself as a breast cancer patient and now as a survivor because when you are faced with life changing situations, you just have no choice but to put one foot in front of the other and keep going. I was raised to look beyond the labels by facing and tackling any challenges that came my way head on. It is no secret that my breast cancer journey has been anything but easy nor is it over but knowing that I have had the support of The Coquitlam Express and the community behind me all the way has truly made a world of difference,” said Sharon Perry “Breast cancer affects both men and women; I know without a doubt that the Tri-Cities needs a breast cancer clinic and this is just one step towards that becoming a reality at Eagle Ridge Hospital. I am beyond honoured and proud to partner with The Coquitlam Express for their Pink In The Rink night and their goals of raising awareness for Breast Cancer.”

The players will first wear the jerseys on October 22nd when they face the Nanaimo Clippers.
