Statment from the GM; BC Storm

I am happy to report all 27 players and staff have made it home safely following the unexpected extended weekend due to the highway conditions. Adrian, our bus driver remains in Kamloops with the bus and larger gear that we could not bring home with us on the flights.

There are so many people to thank as they made this exhausting, stressful few days easier for all of us. I want to start by thanking the players and staff, they continued to keep the spirits high and went along with all the changing plans. I want to thank the billet parents and parents who continued to offer support from back home.

I want to also thank our Owner Fayaz for his support throughout this weekend and helping us get home.

And lastly, I want to thank the City of Kamloops, the residents who reached out to us offering help, the Kamloops Blazers for offering a dressing room, pucks, jerseys, etc, Sandman Hotel for accommodating us and all the local restaurants that hosted us.

This trip is one we all won’t forget, this trip created stories and memories but we are thankful to be home in our own beds and preparing to welcome our fans back to the Train Station this weekend.
