ALL-TIME HIGHS FOR NCAA HOCKEY IN 2013-14

The Number of former NCAA players in the NHL has reached an All-Time High with the percentage rising in each of the last 14 seasons.  Here are some interesting facts that everyone should take the time to look at and take note of.  It's not impossible to follow your dream and still get that much needed education:

• The 305 NCAA alums that played in the NHL this season represent 31 per cent of the league, both numbers are record highs
• Of the 305, almost half of them played four years of college hockey
• More than 100 of these 305 NCAA alums are Canadian
• There were 24 NCAA-alumni goalies in the NHL; they combined for a higher saves percentage and lower goals-against average than the league average
85 per cent of NCAA men’s hockey players will graduate with a degree – only fencing, gymnastics, lacrosse and skiing have higher grad rates
