Nov. 11 – Two Express forwards, Nicholas Rasovic & Adam Rockwood, represented Coquitlam at the 2013 CJHL Prospects Showcase. The two game series pitted the best Jr. 'A' NHL prospects from western Canada up against prospects from eastern Canada with the winner taking home the President's Cup. The games took place in conjunction with the World Junior 'A' Challenge in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
For the first time since 2010, Canada East won the President's Cup by outscoring Canada West 8-4 in the two game series. Rockwood recorded 2 assists, tying him with Mitch Meek of the Victoria Grizzlies as the top point getters for the westerners.
Both Rasovic and Rockwood will be back in the Express lineup this Friday, when the Langley Rivermen visit the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex. Pre-game festivities get underway with a BBQ by donation to Moving Mountains at 5:45pm followed by a 7:00pm puck drop.
