The Coquitlam Express, a renowned junior ice hockey team in British Columbia, is excited to announce its search for talented and passionate interns for the upcoming 2023/24 season. The Coquitlam Express offers a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in various areas of the sports industry.
Internships are available in the following departments:
1. Game Day Operations Team:
– Assist in the planning and execution of game day operations, including pre-game setup, in-game promotions, and fan engagement activities.
– Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operation of events and activities.
– Provide exceptional customer service to fans and stakeholders during home games.
2. Broadcast and Digital Media Team:
– Contribute to the production and broadcasting of live game coverage, including camera operation, graphics, and audio/video editing.
– Assist in managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, and interacting with fans.
– Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to enhance the team’s digital presence.
3. Office and Administration:
– Provide administrative support to various departments, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records.
– Assist in ticketing operations, including processing orders and responding to customer inquiries.
– Contribute to the organization and execution of team events, such as fundraisers and community programs.
Internship positions are open to motivated individuals who are eager to gain practical experience in the sports industry. Successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong passion for hockey and community engagement. While previous experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.
