The Coquitlam Express are proud to announce the signing of 2007-born defenceman Braedan Nelson for the upcoming BCHL season.
Nelson, a 6’0”, left-shot blueliner from Minnetonka, Minnesota, joins the Express after spending time with Bishop Kearney Selects 18U AAA, one of the premier development programs in the United States.
“Brady is a player we’re excited to add to our group,” said Express General Manager Tali Campbell. “He’s a smooth-skating defenceman who competes hard, moves the puck efficiently, and has the ability to play in all situations. We believe he has a very high ceiling and will fit in well with the culture we’re building in Coquitlam, as someone who also wore the ‘C’ for his team last season.”
The Express have some holes on the backend to fill with players like Cooper Wilson, Bryson Carlyle and Jack L’esperance all graduating from the program.
The Coquitlam Express continue preparations for the 2026-27 BCHL season as the organization builds toward another competitive year.
