Express back on the winning track

The Express put together their best effort of the season as they were 3-1 winners over the Penticton Vees Friday night at the Train Station at the PSLC.

The Express were honoring the past as they donned retro Coquitlam Comet jerseys for the night. 

The Vees scored the only goal of the first period and Adam Rockwood scored the only goal in the second period.

The express dominated the third as a pair of Ryan Rosenthal goals led the team to a 3-1 win over the Okanagan squad.

Fortis energy player of the game and first star Gordie Defiel turned aside 25 shots in recording the win, 2nd star Zack Hodder had two assists and Captain Ryan Rosenthal was the third star.

The express played their best game of the year in front of a Crowd of over 1100 at the train station.

Head Coach Barry Wolff was pleased with his teams performance saying  "I was proud of their effort tonight".

The Express have now won 3 of their last 4 on home ice, and are back in action Saturday night as they travel to the South Okanagan Events Center for the second half of a home and home engagement with the Penticton Vees. Game time is 6pm.
