Express extend series lead to 3-1 with home ice win on Tuesday.

The Coquitlam Express posted a 5-3 win over the Langley Rivermen in Game Four of the Mainland Division final to take a three games to one lead on Tuesday Night.

The Express got a big goal from their fourth line as Jackson Cressey opened the scoring at 7:06 of the first period.  Josh Smith and Cameron Marks drew the assists.  Langley responded with a pair of goals as the first period ended 2-1 Rivermen.

Express Head Coach Barry Wolff says the 5-0 game three loss was a reminder for his team of what they have to do to be sucessful.  "We have to have a strong group effort defensively and tonight we had that, I am very proud of our guys".

Mark Biega's first goal of the game tied the score at the 2:43 mark of the second period and Captain Ryan Rosenthal tied the game again after  Langley had taken a brief 3-2 lead.  Rosenthal's goal, his 7th of the playoffs, was set up by Bo Pieper and the game's First Star and Fortis BC Energy Player of the Game Mark Biega.

Canon Pieper wacked in a rebound just 31-seconds into the third period and the Train made it stand up as the winning goal.  Mark Biega scored a powerplay goal at 16:41, with Langley's Charlie Pelnik off for boarding, to complete the scoring.

Gordie Defiel stopped 31 shots to post the win.

The Express travel across the Fraser River looking to close out the Rivermen on Thursday Night at the Langley Event Center, game time is 7pm.
