The Coquitlam Express in partnership with Kirmac Collision & Autoglass are excited to unveil the special Teddy Bear Toss Night jerseys the Express players will be wearing on December 9th.
The jersey will be worn on the clubs annual Teddy Bear Toss Night which is a night that fans are asked to bring a Teddy Bear to the game which they will then get to throw on the ice following the Express’ first goal. All the Teddy Bears are then donated to a local non-profit to give to children.
The special jerseys will also be auctioned off online with all proceeds being donated to Kirmac Cares for Kids which is a charity that supports BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
“We are honoured to be partnering with Kirmac on this special night. With the help of Kirmac, we are making an already special night even better with the special jerseys, and partnering with BC Children’s Hospital and Surrey Memorial Hospital to invite as many families as we can to the game,” commented Tali Campbell, Express’ chief operating officer and general manager “We are also working with Surrey Memorial Hospital on a ‘design a rinkboard’ initiative which will have sick children redesigning current sponsors rinkboards, the children’s design will then replace the current rink board for the December 9th game.”
