Express Off to Alberni to Face the Bulldogs

The Express take their hot sticks on the road as they visit the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in BCHL action tonight. Last night Coquitlam scored 9 goal en route a thrilling win over the Surrey Eagles. They will try to carry over some of that scoring touch into their third meeting of the season with Alberni Valley.

In their last matchup versus the Bulldogs on November 2nd, Coquitlam nearly pulled off a miraculous come back. After going down 5-1 Bo Piper, Joey Santucci, and Jackson Cressey all scored to pull Coquitlam within one. An empty net goal sealed the 6-4 win for Alberni Valley that night.

The Express scored four times in a minute and 21 seconds in the first period versus Surrey last night, with Joey Santucci scoring three of those goals. Thats the kind of start Coquitlam will be aiming for tonight at the Weyerhaeuser Arena. Coquitlam  is sitting in 3rd place in the Mainland Division and can move to 30 points on the year with a win tonight; meanwhile Alberni Valley currently is in 5th place in the Island Division with 18 points.
