Express sign Coquitlam native Brody Juck

The Coquitlam Express have announced the signing of 2005-born Coquitlam native Brody Juck out of Main Camp.

Juck who spent last season with Vancouver Northeast Chiefs and the year prior to that with Shawnigan Lake U15 Prep was first noticed by the Express staff at an identification camp over the summer, “To be honest he really wasn’t on our radar but as soon as we saw him we knew he had a lot of potential and someone who is going to play in our league in the future, when, we didn’t know then,” commented Tali Campbell, Express general manager “the way he handles the puck, his size and his confidence are all big things that make him a solid defenseman, someone who has continued to get better and during Main Camp he proved to us he needs be in our league now.”

Although there were no games last season Juck credits the Chiefs staff on helping him get to the BCHL “I can’t thank the Chiefs enough for preparing me to get to the BCHL, they continued to train us last year and that helped me get here.” said Juck.

“This now gives us 11 local players to the Lower Mainland area, and our second Coquitlam born kid next to James Bohn,” said Campbell “anytime we can sign a talented kid, it’s great, anytime we can sign a talented kid from our backyard it’s amazing.”

The Coquitlam Express open the regular season on the road in Surrey to take on the Eagles on October 8th.
