The Coquitlam Express have announced the commitment of 2005-born forward from the Campbell River Storm of the VIJHL, Kye Benoche.
Benoche, a Campbell River-native is in his second season the with Storm and currently has 35 points in 38 games, over his two-year career he’s tallied 26 goals and 41 assists for 67 points in 81 games.
“Kye is someone I have had my eye on for quite some time and I have really seen him take a big step this season in his game,” said Tali Campbell Coquitlam Express general manager ‘although he is a smaller player he plays big, he’s quick, smart and has an incredible shot.”
In the 2021-2022 season Benoche was an affiliated-player for the Express and attended the Chilliwack Chiefs main camp this season. He started the year as a Chiefs AP but later moved to become an Express AP.
“I chose to commit to the Express because I feel they are taking steps in all the right directions,” said Kye Benoche “I believe the Express are a great fit for me because they have shown they can help players develop for the college level and they encourage community involvement which is something I support and am used to.”
Kye Benoche becomes the second commitment for the Express joining Ben Snyderman for the 2023-2024 season.
