The Coquitlam Express are excited to announce the signing of 2007-born defenseman Will Distad!
Distad, a native of White Bear Lake, MN, stands at 6-foot and 190 pounds. He posted 23 Points in 27 Games with White Bear Lake High School, while also serving as the team’s captain. He also found himself suiting up in 18 games for the NAHL’s Austin Bruins, putting up 2 assists. Distad is committed to Minnesota State University (Mankato) for the 2026-2027 NCAA season.
“Will’s been on our radar for over a year now. He’s a guy who plays the game the right way— he’s quick, moves the puck well, smart and with a team-first mentality. He’s a natural leader in the room, and we believe he’s going to make a big impact for us this season,” said Express President & General Manager Tali Campbell.
