Express Take One Of Two On Road Trip

Two points will do just fine for the Express after they were able to win one of two on the road against Interior Division teams.
First up was a 611 kilometre trip east to Trail on Friday, where the Smoke Eaters have struggled so far this season. Heading into this game, Trail had two streaks going against them. They were on a five game loosing streak while Coquitlam had won six in a row on the road to start the year. The Express got out to a 4-1 lead after two periods and never looked back, eventually winning 5-2. Ryan Rosenthal was the first star of the game, scoring two goals.
Coquitlam then took their perfect road record five hours north to Salmon Arm  on Saturday, to face a team who much like them, boasters a high potent offence. The Express matched the SilveBacks goal for goal until the Third Period when an Alex Gillies game winner narrowly separated the two teams on the night. Gillies had two goals in the game and now leads all the BCHL with 17 goals. Rosenthal also added another goal for the Express, he now sits 5th in the league in that department.
One more game on the road coming up this Thursday for the Express; albeit a much shorter trip to the Langley Event Centre. They will then host West Kelowna and Chilliwack on the weekend.
