Frenzy! Express 4 – Clippers 2

The Costal Conference leading Nanaimo Clippers sailed into town for the final time this regular season to square off against the Coquitlam Express in a 3:00 pm start time game.

Kai Daniels clearly ate his wheaties for breakfast as he scored just 37 seconds into the game to give the Clippers a very early 1 nothing lead, however, it was short held. Gavin Giesbrecht scored his 18th of the season just over 3 minutes after that to bring the game back to even.

It would stay that way until 9:05 seconds into the second period where Blake Setter would score to break the tie in half, giving the Express the lead after 2. Jeremie Payant would bring the game back to even early in the third period. With 3:41 remaining Ray Hamlin scored his 10th which proved to be the game winner as the Express took this game 4-2 in regulation.

The Coquitlam Express will return to the Train Station on March 24th against the Cowichan Valley Capitals in their final regular season weekend, with another game on the 26th against Powell River.
