Former Coquitlam Express standout Massimo Lamacchia of Brown University was named the ECAC Hockey East Player of the Week for January 10-12.
Lamacchia scored a pair of goals to lead Brown to a 3-3 draw against Boston College Saturday. The Vaughn, Ont. product gave the Bears a 2-1 lead late in the second period, and then scored his second of the contest early in the third, answering a Boston College equalizer just 25 seconds later for his fourth tally of the season.
He scored 35 goals and 39 assists in 60 games for Coquitlam in the 2010-11 season.
