PREVIEW: Express @ Eagles

The Express are travelling to South Surrey this afternoon for their first road game of 2023 to take on the very hot Surrey Eagles.

Statistics:

The Eagles are 2nd in the Coastal Conference with a 22-7-1-0 record.

The Express are 3rd in the Coastal Conference with a 16-11-4-1 record.

Head-to-Head

The Eagles have had the Express’ number this season winning all four matches thus far, two at home and two on the road.

Keys To Victory:

Both teams are coming off Friday night wins and both will be looking to build on that. The Express need to find a way to be more disciplined. The Eagles in the last four meetings have been able to capitalize on the power play.

The Express have been caught too many times on the big ice sheet Lallygagging with the puck for far too long, they will need to be able to move the puck quick even if they feel like they’ve got a ton of time and space.

Lineup Changes:

As mentioned through social media Brady Estabrook has been reassigned to Campbell River as he has played his maximum allowed game as an affiliate player. Ethan Rosenoff will be called in for the game this afternoon. It is expected that Luke Vardy will also draw back in on the backend.
