This Sunday, December 1st is our annual Teddy Bear Toss! Your Express welcome the Nanaimo Clippers to the Pond on Poirier for a 3pm puckdrop. When the Express score for the first time, you the fans toss your teddy bears or plush toys onto the ice! SHARE will be on hand to take the donated bears and provide them to children in need this holiday season.
GIVE BACK WITH THE EXPRESS – THE ANDRÉS PROJECT
The Express are also partnering with the Andrés Project to collect gloves, mittens, scarves, toques, socks, travel sized toiletries or cash donations. If you bring any of these items, your game ticket will be only $8!
Started by Express videographer Jorge Parra, the Andrés Project provides those on the streets in Vancouver’s downtown eastside with live sustaining necessities. Jorge’s nephew, Andrés Parra, passed away after a drug overdose in 2007 at the age of 23.
